Book Review: Say You Will by Kate Perry

Overall Rating: ♔♔♔ (3.5)
Romance Rating: ❤❤❤ (3.5)
Suspense Rating: ★★ (2)
Humor Rating: ✌✌ (2.5)
Drama Rating: ‼‼‼ (3)

Let me starts by saying how much I love Kate Perry and her other series, Laurel Heights! But, in comparison this book was boring to me. The most irritating part is the story and characters had so much potential but instead of elaborating on the Summerhill family and the missing will she chose to write in another romance and it was not only distracting but damaging to the overall appeal of the book. I think the story of Joe and Em could have waited and been written as it's own novella.

As for Nick, props to Kate Perry she created another character to swoon over and add to the book boyfriend list. Although he makes a huge mistake in the story he is a relatable character with amazing depth. Not to mention his manners and respect make him utterly sexy!!

Rosalind on the other hand is boring to me. I feel like she is entitled and a bit snotty. I don't like how she begs for Nick to take her when he is clearly having reservations but seems to forget that he tried to respect her later in the book. She does begin to grow on me towards the end of the book but I just didn't feel like she was right for the type person Nick was portrayed as.

Overall I believe a 3.5 crown review is fair. As always Kate Perry crated solid characters but there definitely were some new writing techniques that I am not a fan of. I will be reading the next installment of this series because I am a avid fan of the author but I have hopes it will be better!!
