This is the second book in Jana Deleon’s Miss Fortune series and in my opinion it was better than the first book, A Louisiana Longshot. This book had me rolling in laughter within the first twenty pages and never once let up on the humor. Gertie and Ida Belle are hilarious but also have a deep care for Fortune and prove they will do anything to protect her. As for the others in the town of Sinful, they prove quite the opposite when Fortune becomes the lead suspect in the murder of a resident who has just come back to town. Carter is thrown back in the midst but unfortunately Jana has chosen to keep their relationship strictly platonic. Hopefully that will change in one of the future books that I will be downloading to my Ipad in the next few minutes. I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves a good laugh!
